Five teams earn NCCAA Scholar Team honors for spring semester

 Greenville, S.C. – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced it’s 2012-2013 Scholar Team Awards for the Winter/Spring semester on Monday, June 24. Olivet Nazarene University was represented by five teams, tied for most with Spring Arbor University (Mich.). Overall, 48 teams were recognized.

Leading the Tigers was the men’s and women’s golf teams. The men’s team finished with an average GPA of 3.62, while the women were right behind with a 3.52. Women’s indoor track and field finished the semester with a 3.41 GPA. The women’s outdoor track and field team and men’s tennis both finished with a 3.40 average.

Teams that have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale for all combined student-athletes on the team are eligible for the NCCAA Scholar team Award. View the Scholar Teams on the alphabetical list below.
