CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Daniel Schneider (West Salem, Wis.) batted .444 and averaged both 1.4 runs scored and 1.4 runs batted in to gain CCAC Player of the Week honors, it was announced on Wednesday.

Schneider, a senior outfielder, reached base safely and either scored or drove in a run in each of his team's five games last week, all of which were conference victories for the Tigers.  He collected eight hits in 18 at bats with five of those hits going for extra bases (three doubles, one triple, one home run) leading to an .889 slugging percentage.

To open the week, Schneider went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and five runs batted in in a 23-2 victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Friday.  Of his four hits, two went for doubles.  He also homered in his first at bat.

Olivet Nazarene's perfect 5-0 week put it in a first-place tie with University of St. Francis for first place in the league's South Division with identical 17-8 records.  Overall, the Tigers are 28-16.
