Senior Kevin Lasowski is the first to be named to the all-American list since 2005
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 NAIA Baseball
All-America teams, selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA)
All-America Selection Committee. Olivet Nazarene University is pleased to announce
that senior Kevin Lasowski
(Schererville, Ind.) was named to the honorable mention team. He was one of
36 athletes named to the team.
Senior relief pitcher and designated hitter Kevin Lasowski
has been named to his NAIA Honorable Mention All-American Team. He was a First
Team All-CCAC selection in 2013. Lasowski appeared in 22 regular season games and
finished with a 1-1 record, a program record 11 saves (led CCAC, 5th
in NAIA) and 1.27 ERA. He only allowed 17 hits, five runs, eight walks and had 32
strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings. In addition, Lasowski played in 43 games,
starting 42. He batted .258 in 132 at-bats with 34 hits, five doubles and one
home run. He also had 12 walks, 27 runs, 42 total bases, 22 RBIs and four stolen
bases. He finished with a .318 slugging percentage and .344 OBP.
Lasowski is the first Tiger to be named all-American since
Rick Weber (2nd Team), John Arisohn (HM), and Jordan Taylor (HM) in
2005. There have been 12 Tigers since 2000 named to all-American status.
