LEWISTON, Idaho – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 257 baseball student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Hastings (Neb.) leads all institutions with 11 individuals on the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Olivet Nazarene University had five honored this year: senior pitcher Steven Beckham (Mt. Vernon, Illinois), senior pitcher Jonathan Fightmaster (Bourbonnais, Illinois), junior pitcher Ryan Archer (Moline, Illinois), junior outfielder Aaron King (Pekin, Illinois), and junior catcher Stefan Sauder (Morton, Illinois).  Beckham and Fightmaster were named to the list for the second time.
