ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The No. 23 Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team finished fifth at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational, hosted by Augustana College (Ill.) at Saukie Golf Course, on Friday, Sept. 21.
The Tigers bested 28 other teams in the eight-kilometer race and placed two runners among the top 30 out of 461 competitors.
The Tigers were again led by Marshall Hawn (Goshen, Ind.), who finished 20th with a time of 26 minutes, 1 second. Nicholas Mizeur (Moline, Ill.) came in 29th with a time of 26:12, while Ron Milbocker (Whitmore Lake, Mich.) finished 53rd in 26:44. Daniel Wells (Danville, Ill.) finished 58th in 26:49, while Caleb Bernhardt (Green Bay, Wis.) finished 60th in 26:53.
Joel Lynn (Naperville, Ill.) finished 62nd in 26:56, and Kasey Ferrigan (Dixon, Ill.) finished 66th with a time of 27:02.
Augustana finished first overall, while University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point took second, Grinnell College (Iowa) claimed third, and Loras College (Iowa) finished fourth.
The Tigers will be off for two weeks before returning to action on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the at DePauw-Gibson Family Invite, hosted by DePauw University (Ind.) at the Lavern-Gibson Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
