PLAINFIELD, Ill. – Junior Tyler Karraker (Bourbonnais, Ill.) led the Olivet Nazarene University men’s golf team in its first event of the fall season, shooting a 77 to finish in the top fourth of the field at Wedgewood Golf Course in Plainfield, Ill. on Tuesday, Sept.11.
With an 18-hole score of 325 (+40), the Tigers finished tied for 13th out of 19 teams at the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Fall Classic. St. Francis finished first with a score of 293 (+9), North Central College (Ill.) took second with a score of 308 (+24) while Elmhurst College (Ill.) and Rock Valley College (Ill.) finished tied for third with a score of 309 (+25).
Karraker tied for 21st place after shooting 6-over-par at the 6,196-yard, par 71 course. Freshman Ryan Muzljakovich (Vicksburg, Mich.) tied for 38th with an 80 (+9), sophomore Michael Bork (Rapid City, Mich.) tied for 62nd with an 83 (+12), freshman Ethan Drooger (Holland, Mich.) tied for 75th with an 85 (+14) and senior Aaron Miles (Holt, Mich.) tied for 82nd with a 86 (+15).
Olivet will return to action on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17-18, for the Purdue University-North Central (Ind.) Invitational, held at Lost Marsh Country Club in Hammond, Ind.
