HAMMOND, Ind. – In his second appearance of the fall, Michael Bork (Rapid City, Mich.) led the Olivet Nazarene University men’s golf team by finishing tied for eighth place among 49 participants on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17-18, at the Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite, hosted by Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.).
Bork finished with a two-day score of 162 (79-83) on the 6,773-yard, par-72 Lost Marsh Golf Course.
With a of 661 (+85), the Tigers finished fourth out of nine teams . Owens Community College (Ohio) finished first with a score of 628 (+52), Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) took second with a score of 649 (+73) and Indiana Institute of Technology (Ill.) finished third with a score of 654 (+78).
Aaron Miles (Holt, Mich.) tied for 14th with a 164 (+20), Ryan Muzljakovich (Vicksburg, Mich.) tied for 17th with a 165 (+21), Ethan Drooger (Holland, Mich.) tied for 29th with a 173 (+29) and Tyler Karraker (Bourbonnais, Ill.) finished 34th with a 174 (+30).
The Tigers return to action on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 24-25, when they host the Olivet Nazarene University Invitational, held at Balmoral Woods Golf Club in Crete, Ill.
