SILVIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University's top men's golf team finished the fall season with a 15th place finished at the NAIA Midwest Invitational hosted by St. Ambrose University (Iowa). The Tigers played two rounds at the TPC of Deere Run in Silvis, Ill on Oct. 15-16.
Olivet finished with a two-day score of 668 (333-335, +100) on the 6625-yard, par-71 course. The Tiger’s 15th place finish was out of 19 teams and competed against 100 total golfers.
Ashford University (Iowa) finished first with a score of 594 (+26), Mt. Mercy College (Iowa) took second with a score of 596 (+28), Marian University (Ind.) finished third with a score of 597 (+29), and Grand View University (Iowa) took fourth with a score of 605 (37).
Sophomore Michael Bork (Rapid City, Mich.) led the way with a 156 (82-74, +14), finishing 31st. Tyler Karraker (Bourbonnais, Ill.) finished tied for 78th after shooting a 171 (84-87, +29). Freshman Ryan Muzljakovich (Vicksburg, Mich.) finished tied for 87th with a 175 (87-88, +33).
Robert Wagner (Bethel, Ohio) finished tied for 92nd with a 179 (93-86, +37) and Aaron Miles (Holt, Mich.) withdrew on day two.
The Tigers are finished with their fall season and will be back in action in early March, 2013.
