MARION, Ind. — Head Coach Damon Jensen and the Olivet Nazarene University men’s golf team started their 2013-2014 campaign on Monday and Tuesday, September 9 and 10, at the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invite. Ahtough the Tigers didn’t have their best showing, they remain excited about their combination of experience and youth on the team this season.

The Tigers participated in the 36-hole, two-day event, played at Meshingomesia Country Club in Marion, Ind. A total of 66 golfers played at the par-72, 6445-yard course.

There were nine other schools represented with the host school, Indiana Wesleyan University, winning the event with a 602 (+26). Grand Rapids Community College (Mich.) came in second with a 606 (+30), and Bethel College (Ind.) finished third with a 614 (+38).

Junior Michael Bork (Rapid City, Mich.) (81-83) and sophomore Ethan Drooger (Holland, Mich.) (77-87) tied for 39th after each shooting a 164 (+20). Sophomore Ryan Muzljakovich (Vicksburg, Mich.) finished with a 169 (86-83 +25), tied for 50th. Senior Tyler Karraker (Bourbonnais, Ill.) came in 58th with a 175 (87-88, +31). Freshman Jordan Spay (Bettendorf, Iowa) finished 64th with a 181 (92-89, +37).

The Tigers play next at the Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.) Invite on Monday and Tuesday, September 16 and 17, at Lost Marsh Country Club in Hammond, Ind.
