Four Tiger swimmers named Daktronic-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Four Olivet Nazarene University swimmers were recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on Friday, March 1 as 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. There were a total of 28 women’s and 13 men's swimming and diving student-athletes honored.
Graduate student Melissa Wright (Bourbonnais, Ill.) and junior Anna Krajac (Loveland, Colo.) represented the inaugural women’s team, while juniors Mark Lynn (Naperville, Ill.) and Aaron Buchanan (Beavercreek, Ohio) represented the men.
Wright graduated from Olivet with an undergraduate degree in elementary education is currently working on her masters of curriculum and instruction and ESL endorsement. Krajac is working towards her degree in biology. Lynn is pursuing a degree in math, while Buchanan is now majoring in psychology.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
