Anderson named NAIA Swimmer of the Month for January performances

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jacob Anderson of Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Swimmer & Diver of the Month, the national office announced Friday. Anderson was selected based on his performances in the month of January. He was chosen out of a pool of candidates nominated by NAIA men’s swimming & diving programs.
Anderson, a sophomore from Clifton, Ill., earned first-place finishes in 12-of-14 events this month, including dual meets against NCAA Division I Southern Illinois and NCAA Division II Lewis (Ill.) and the Chicago Invitational at NCAA Division III University of Chicago (Ill.). One of Anderson’s two losses was to a teammate in the 400-Medley at the Chicago Invitational, his second was in the 200-Freestyle relay against Southern Illinois.
Anderson posted the NAIA top time in the 200-Medley (1:53.51) at the Chicago Invitational. He also owns top 15 times in the 100-Backstroke, 200-Backstroke and 400-Medley, this season.
