Tigers take fourth straight win; defeat Crimson Wave 8-1

GRIFFITH, Ind. — For the third time in two days, the Olivet Nazarene University men’s tennis team was victorious over a CCAC opponent. They defeated Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) by a score of 8-1. It was the Tigers fourth win in a row.

In singles play, the Tigers (7-10, 3-1) took all but one match from the Crimson Wave (1-5, 1-4). Senior Diego Gonsalvez (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) won (6-4, 6-1). Peter Jensen (Yuba City, Calif.) won (6-4, 6-2). Seth Perry (Jefferson, Ohio) won for the second time in the day (6-0, 6-1), and Jordan Lingle (Fishers, Ind.) and Mat Bowden (Spring Arbor, Mich.) won by default.

Olivet gained all three points in doubles play. Camilo Giraldo (Medellin, Colombia) and Landon Williams (Erie, Penn.) won 8-1. Josue Sanchez and Peter Jensen won 8-1, and Jordan Lingle and Mat Bowden won by default.

ONU will be back on the court Friday, April 19, at home against Judson University (Ill.) at 2 p.m.
