ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — One final meet stood between the Olivet Nazarene University men’s track team and the NAIA national meet. However, the Tigers did not take the Friday afternoon Augie Twilight lightly, winning four separate events while only sending six athletes.

In the 1500m run, junior Ethan Gallagher (Parsippany, N.J.) won with a time of 3:57.88. Isaac Austin (Indianapolis, Ind.) won the pole vault with a mark of 4.95m, and Brian Michell (Reed City, Mich.) came in fourth (4.70m). Sophomore Elisha DeRamus (Harvey, Ill.) won the long jump (7.12m) by .86 meters and the triple jump (13.64m) by 1.14 meters.

Joe Reisinger (Georgetown, Ill.) finished seventh in the shot put (15.97m) and came in 12th in the discus with a throw of 48.66m. Conner Stroud (Manteno, Ill.) competed in the high jump but did not have a qualifying height in the finals.

ONU will finish the 2013 season on Thursday, May 23, through Saturday, May 25, in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. The meet will be held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.
