Goettsch breaks out against Peregrine

 HAMMOND, Ind. – Senior Carolyn Goettsch broke out for a season-high 15 kills to help the Olivet Nazarene University (3-12, 2-2) volleyball team sweep Purdue University- Calumet on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Tigers dominated the Peregrine 25-18, 25-12, 25-19 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play.

Goettsch (Utica, Mich.) ended the night with a hitting percentage of .433, 15 kills in 30 attempts with just two hitting errors. Sophomore Kaia Lenzi (Beach Park, Ill.) added nine kills in 14 attempts with just one error (.571).

Freshman Renee Enz (Wilmington, Ill.) contributed 20 assists, while junior Rachel Raynor (DeKalb, Ill.) added 13. Four Tigers ended the night with 10 digs each-Enz, freshman Carly Wenzelman (Bonfield, Ill.), senior Katherine Hozian (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and sophomore libero Haley Hatalla (Manteno, Ill.

The Tigers travel to South Bend, Ind. to take on CCAC foe Indiana University-South Bend at 7p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20.
