Olivet volleyball signs Hudsonville standout

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University volleyball coach Brenda Williams is pleased to announce that Macie Riegel of Hudsonville, Mich. has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and playing career as a Tiger.

"I loved the campus and the friendly atmosphere," said Riegel regarding her choice. "I really felt that this is where God intended me to be."


Riegel, a two-year varsity starter, helped lead the Eagles to 43 wins her senior season, including a Division 1 District Championship. She finished the season with 250 Kills and 53 Blocks, seven solo and 46 assists. She also added 34 assists, 79 digs and 20 service aces.

She is a member of the 17U Impact Dynamic Training Club team which finished fifth at the MJVBA State Tournament last spring, playing in the 18 Open Division.

An Academic All-State honoree, Riegel plans to major in social work while at Olivet. She is the daughter of Mason and Julie Riegel.
