BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The 2013 version of the Olivet Nazarene University volleyball team has a new member. Metamora High School’s Jordan TerBush has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and playing career as a Tiger.
TerBush, an outsider hitter, was a two year varsity letter winner at Metamora. During her career, the Redbirds posted a 65-13 record, including back-to-back undefeated conference championships. In 2011, she helped lead the team to an Elite-8 appearance after winning regionals and sectionals. In 2012, the Redbird defended their regional championship before falling in sectionals.
In 2012, TerBush served as a captain and was selected as a first-team Mid-Illini Conference honoree. She is also a member of National Honor Society and is a three-year varsity letter winner in track. She is also a member of the basketball cheerleading squad and active on the Student Council Executive Board.
“I love the faith centered education,” said TerBush when asked about her decision to attend Olivet. “Also, the whole campus is so inviting and I felt at home there.”
TerBush is the daughter of Kenneth and Marilyn TerBush and has three siblings; Caleb, Chance and Leah. While at Olivet, she plans to major in elementary education.
