BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – After several years of planning, the Olivet Nazarene University volleyball team has officially added a junior varsity team to its program. Head coach Brenda Williams is pleased to announce that Megan Ruffolo, a senior at Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School is the first official signee to the new team with several more verbal commitments in place.
Ruffolo, a defensive specialist, was a two-year volleyball letter winner at BBCHS and also in soccer. She helped the Boilers to a 26-9 record her senior year and was named Most Improved Player. She also serves as team captain for soccer.
“It has such a welcoming and wonderful atmosphere where I feel that I can fit into easily and know that if I ever need help, someone will be there to do so,” said Ruffolo of her choice. “They made you feel that the student comes first and that their goal is to see you succeed rather than making you feel like just a number.”
Ruffolo plans to major in engineering while at Olivet. She is the daughter of Vikki and Mike Ruffolo.
