PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The struggles of the Olivet Nazarene University volleyball team continue as the Tigers opened Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) play on Thursday, Sept. 12 with a straight set (16-25, 30-32, 9-25) loss to Trinity Christian College (Ill.). Olivet showed signs of pulling out a win in the second set, but service errors gave the set to the Trolls and allowed them to keep the momentum.
Olivet (4-9, 0-1) struggled at the net all evening, finishing with 36 kills, but 25 attack errors in 118 attempts (.093). On the other side of the court, the Trolls produced 40 kills with just nine errors in 97 attempts (.320). The Tigers were also out blocked by Trinity Christian 12-1, and finished with nine service errors to their seven.
