Olivet extends winning streak to four; Tigers take down Titans

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University volleyball team continued their winning streak on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as they made quick work of Indiana University – South Bend in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action. The Tigers took the match in straight sets, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22 to improve to 4-1 in the conference and a tie for second in the South Division.
Junior Kaia Lenzi (Beach Park, Ill.) continues to dominate at the net, finishing the night with 10 kills in 15 attempts with no attack errors (.667). Senior Kenzie Thompson (Plano, Texas) added 10 kills as well, finishing with just one error in 23 attempts (.391).
The setting duo of sophomore Renee Enz (Wilmington, Ill.) and freshman Katie Tabisz (Lockport, Ill.) combined for 30 assists, 13 and 17 respectively. Tabisz also added five kills and nine digs. Junior libero Haley Hatalla (Manteno, Ill.) finished with 17 digs.
The Tigers (10-11, 4-1), who have won their last four matches and six of their last eight, will host the CCAC Cross-Over on Oct. 4-5. The Cross-Over will feature eight of the CCAC teams with eight matches a day. Olivet will take on Trinity International University (Ill.) at 1:00 p.m. Friday and finish the evening with Saint Xavier University (Ill.) at 7. On Saturday, the Tigers will face Roosevelt University (Ill.) at noon and Robert Morris University (Ill.) at 4.
