Three Tigers honored by CCAC; Team named Champions of Character

CHICAGO – Senior McKenzie Thompson along with juniors Heidi Schoenbein and Haley Hatalla were all named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference following the tournament championship game on Saturday, Nov. 16. The trio helped lead the Tigers to a 21-20 record thus far.
Thompson, a 5-8 outside hitter from Plano, Texas is currently second on the team with 326 kills. She has an attack percentage of .164, 165 errors in 983 attempts. She is also second on the team with 41 service aces, while adding 227 digs and 30 blocks.
A 6-1 outside hitter from Morton, Ill., Schoenbein has 308 kills with 111 errors in 865 attempts (.228). She is second on the team with 110 blocks, while adding 29 service aces.
Hatalla, a 5-9 libero from Manteno, Ill., lead the Tigers with 649 digs. She has a receiving percentage of .957, with just 36 errors in 830 attempts.
Olivet was also awarded the CCAC Champions of Character team award.
