BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Katie Tabisz signed a letter of intent to be part of the Olivet Nazarene University volleyball team in the fall of 2013.
The Lockport Township High School senior chose Olivet for many reasons, one of which being a strong family history with the University.
“I chose Olivet because my mom attended it and a lot of my family members have attended or are attending it and they all love it,” said Tabisz.
“I love the atmosphere and it is filled with great people. I also loved the volleyball program because everyone seemed to be sincere and kind people. I knew it would be a great fit for me.”
Besides earning three varsity letters in volleyball at Lockport, Tabisz is a member of the Lions Juniors club team and the 1st Alliance club team. She helped lead her club team to a fourth place finish at Pre-Nationals with a 4-2 record and a fifth place finish at Northern Lights National Qualifier with a 7-1 record.
Tabisz is the daughter of Timothy and Patricia and has four siblings: Tiffany, Trevor, Ben and Kelly. She plans to major in accounting while at Olivet.
