BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Kayla Krassman, a 5-11 forward from Hartford Union High School (Wis.) has committed to continuing her education and playing careers as a member of the Olivet Nazarene University women’s basketball team.
“Kayla is a great girl with a fun spirit and a natural knack for shooting the three,” said head coach Lauren Stamatis. “I can’t wait to see her mature as a young lady as well as a basketball player.”
As a junior, Krassman helped lead her team to a second place finish in the Little Ten Conference, earning 2nd Team All-Conference honors and being named team MVP. She averaged 12.8 points on the season along with two rebounds and two assists. She finished the year with a .870 free-throw shooting percentage and .350 from the three-point arc.
“I fell in love with the size of the school and what they had to offer me academically, not to mention the style of play,” said Krassman of her decision. “I also fell in love with the coaches, players, and people within the campus. That really made a huge impact on my final decision.”
Krassman plans to major in nursing while at Olivet. She is the daughter of Brian and Renee Krassman of Hartford, Wis.
