BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The No. 12 Olivet Nazarene University women’s basketball team made easy work of the visiting Trolls of Trinity Christian College (Ill.) on Wednesday, Nov. 28 defeating them 93-44. The win put the Tigers back on the winning track after suffering their first loss of the season earlier this week.
Olivet (5-1, 5-1) finished the night with 12 players who scored and four in double-digits. Sophomore Ashley Wilson (Portage, Mich.) posted 23 points, plus added seven rebounds. Junior Miranda Geever (Moline, Ill.) finished with 12 points, while dishing out five assists. Freshman Cortney Allenbaugh (Morton, Ill.) had a career-high 11 points and seven rebounds and sophomore Dakota Hack (Princeton, Ind.) added 10 points.
“We did a much better job of anticipating in the press tonight,” said head coach Lauren Stamatis. “I saw a lot of improvement attacking the basket on offense to.”
Olivet will take on No. 16 Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. The two teams last faced-off on Nov. 21, 2012 with the Tigers winning 94-76.
