NCCAA North Central Region recognizes four Tigers

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Four members of the No. 24 Olivet Nazarene University women’s basketball team were recognized by National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) North Central Region for their efforts in helping lead the Tigers to a 23-9 overall record.
Sophomore Ashley Wilson (Portage, Mich.), junior Miranda Geever (Moline, Ill.) and senior Danielle Tolbert (Pontiac, Mich.) were all first team NCCAA All-Region selections, while junior Liz Bart (Cary, Ill.) received honorable mention recognition.
Wilson led the Tigers with 15.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. She finished the season ranked fourth in the NAIA Division II offensive rebounds per game (4.000) and field goal percentage (0.617), having connected on 184-of-298 shots from the field.
Geever is currently ranked second in the NAIA Division II with a 2.551 assist/turnover ratio. She led the Tigers with 125 assists, while turning the ball over just 49 times. She also led the team is steals with 98 and is currently ranked ninth in the NAIA. She finished the season averaging 11.1 points per game.
Despite missing the first four games of the season, Tolbert was second on the team with 11.8 points per game. She pulled down 4.3 rebounds per game, while finishing with 79 assists and 65 steals.
Bart shot 98-of-307 from behind the arc on the season to lead the team in three-point percentage (.319). She also added 33 assists and 56 steals.
