Three Tigers named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Seniors Liz Bart (Cary, Ill.), Miranda Geever (Moline, Ill.) and Taylor Haymes (Wenzville, Mo.) were among 243 student athletes named to the 2013-14 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Monday, March 17.

Bart, a physical education major, maintains a 3.658 GPA. She will finish her student teaching responsibilities in the fall of 2014. Geever will graduate in May with a degree in chemistry and currently has a 3.562 GPA. Haymes has a 3.922 GPA as an elementary education major and will also graduate in May. All three are two-time honorees.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
