KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Miranda Geever (Moline, Ill.) was
among the 60 student-athletes recognized by the National Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as a 2014 Division II Women’s Basketball
All-American when they announced the selections on Wednesday, March 19. Geever
was named one of 30 Third Team honorees.
Geever led the No. 25 Olivet Nazarene University women’s
basketball team and the NAIA Division II in steals and steals per game, swiping
a total of 137 on the season, 4.03 per game. She also led the Tigers in
scoring, averaging 19.50 points per game and assists with 4.79.
Geever finished her career with 1,500 points, having reached
the 1,000 point milestone on November 26. She finished her career ranked eighth
all-time for the Tigers. Her 370 career steals puts her at second all-time,
while her 390 assists ties her for ninth.
Geever is also a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a
three-time Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team
honoree. She will graduate in May with a
degree in chemistry.
