Olivet Nazarene University head women's basketball coach, Lauren Stamatis, is pleased to announce that Abbey Hengesbach of Westphalia, Michigan has signed her national letter of intent to join the Olivet Nazarene Tigers this fall.

Hengesbach comes to the TigersBall family as a transfer from Concordia University - Ann Arbor. During her time at Concordia, she was selected as an NAIA First Team All-American, named WHAC Player of the Week five times and WHAC Player of the Year in 2012. During her sophomore season, Hengesbach averaged 18.91 points per game, while pulling in eight rebounds. To date, she has amassed 1,052 points in her college career.

“I chose ONU because it was the perfect fit for my goals both on and off the court,” Hengesbach said of her decision to transfer. “The beautiful campus, awesome coaches and Christian atmosphere made the choice to come to ONU an easy one.”

While at Olivet, Hengesbach will be studying marketing. She is the daughter of Warren and Dicksie Hengesbach and the sister to Brie and aunt to Ace.
