MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Head Coach Lauren Stamatis and Olivet Nazarene University’s women basketball are pleased to announce the addition of Chelsea Rhodes to their team for this upcoming season. Rhodes signed her letter of intent to continue her education and playing career at Olivet this summer.

Rhodes is a 5’3” graduate from Pulaski High School. In her senior season at Pulaski, Rhodes averaged 18.9 ppg while pulling down an average of 5 rebounds and 3 steals per game. She was also named First Team All-Conference, voted team MVP, added to the “Seniors to Watch” list, and voted team captain.

“I choose ONU because from the first visit I just fell in love with the campus.” Rhodes says about her decision to play at Olivet. “It’s nice and small. Once I was told about the up-tempo style of play, I knew that ONU would be a good fit for me. Running and hustling is just my thing. ONU will make sure I'm on top of my game on and off the court.”

Rhodes plans major in Physical Therapy while at Olivet. She is the granddaughter of Alfreda Thompson and sister to Aqualania Rhodes, Isaiah Rhodes, Darius Rhodes, and Edwin Rhodes.
