MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Head Coach Lauren Stamatis and Olivet
Nazarene University’s women basketball are pleased to announce the addition of
Chelsea Rhodes to their team for this upcoming season. Rhodes signed her letter
of intent to continue her education and playing career at Olivet this summer.
Rhodes is a 5’3” graduate from Pulaski High School. In her
senior season at Pulaski, Rhodes averaged 18.9 ppg while pulling down an
average of 5 rebounds and 3 steals per game. She was also named First Team
All-Conference, voted team MVP, added to the “Seniors to Watch” list, and voted
“I choose ONU because from the first visit I just fell in
love with the campus.” Rhodes says about her decision to play at Olivet. “It’s
nice and small. Once I was told about the up-tempo style of play, I knew that
ONU would be a good fit for me. Running and hustling is just my thing. ONU will
make sure I'm on top of my game on and off the court.”
Rhodes plans major in Physical Therapy while at Olivet. She
is the granddaughter of Alfreda Thompson and sister to Aqualania Rhodes, Isaiah
Rhodes, Darius Rhodes, and Edwin Rhodes.
