TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The No. 3 Olivet Nazarene University women’s cross country team took a week off from competition, but head coach Mike McDowell threw a tough week of workouts at them in preparation for the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology Pre-National Invitation held on Saturday, Oct. 6. The Tigers placed third in the 30 team field, behind two nationally ranked NCAA squads.

Leading the way for the Tigers was senior Kortney Ellingboe (Hamilton, Ill.) who finished the 6K race in 22:27, good enough for ninth place overall. Freshman Kathryn Dean (Lindenhurst, Ill.) posted a personal best time of 22:57 to finish in 20th place. Junior Chantalle Falconer (Byron, Ill.) was just: 02 behind to finish 22nd. Rounding out the top five Tigers finishers were senior Hannah Endrizzi (Normal, Ill.) at 23:00 and junior Janina Roche (Crete, Ill.) at 23:12, finishing 25th and 32nd respectively.

The Tigers will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday, Oct. 20 to compete in the NAIA Great Lakes Invite hosted by Aquinas College. The women are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. local time.
