CHICAGO --- Recording a personal-best time of 17:56.75 at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, Olivet Nazarene University's Sarah Ray (Warsaw, Ind.) has claimed her second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor this season, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
Just a freshman, Ray finished second in a field of 363 runners on the 5K course at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday. That helped the Tigers to a second-place team finish out of 33 competing schools.
Ray garnered the award the first time back on Oct. 1.
Olivet Nazarene is ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll.
