Tigers take second at Pilot Invite; Miller captures title

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Ashley Miller shot an invitational round low 76 on Saturday, April 13 to capture the top spot of the Pilot Spring Invitational hosted by Bethel College. The two-day event brought seven teams together, with Olivet Nazarene University finishing second behind the host Pilots.
Miller, a junior from Springhill, Kansas, shot an opening round 79 to finish the event at 155. Bethel College claimed the next five spots, with Miller finishing three shots ahead of Geandra Almedia. Freshman Kelsey Fisk (Greenfield, Ind.) was Olivet’s next highest finisher, shooting a 169 (89, 80) to finish tied for seventh.
Sophomore Lydia Bilyeu (Fulton, Ind.) finished the event tied for fourteenth after shooting 176 (87, 89). Rounding out the Tigers five performers are senior Nora Durkin (Peotone, Ill.) and junior Ashley Dinneweth (Scotts, Mich.). Durkin finished tied for 19th with a 183 (87, 96) and Dinneweth finished 26th with 191 (97, 94).
The Tigers return to action on April 19-20 at the NAIA Super Regional at Juday Creek Golf Course Granger, Ind.
