Three Tiger golfers named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

LINCOLN, Neb. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Thursday, May 23 that 131 women’s golf student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Olivet Nazarene University women’s golf team was represented by Gwen Holmes, Ashley Miller and Lydia Bilyeu.
Holmes is a senior from Princeton, Ind. She carries a 3.89 GPA and is majoring in music education. Miller, a junior from Springhill, Kas., is majoring in social work and currently has a 3.55 GPA. Bilyeu is a sophomore native of Fulton, Ill. and has a 3.96 GPA in accounting.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
