GREEN, Ohio – Megan Woods, a senior at Green High School, has signed a letter of intent to continue her playing career as a member of the No. 3 Olivet Nazarene University women’s soccer team.
Woods, a 5-3 forward, is a four-year letter winner for the Bulldogs and served as team captain in 2012. She is currently fifth in goals scored and sixth in points accumulated in Green High School history. She was the top scorer in 2011 and 2012, and was named All-District First-Team in 2012.
While in high school, Woods was also a four-year member of the swim team and served as team captain her senior year. She is also a four-year Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA) All-Academic honoree.
“I never dreamed that I would fall in love with the first college I visited. After touring the campus, sitting in a class and practicing with the team on the soccer field, truly felt that Olivet was tailored to my specific needs,” said Woods of her decision. “I love that it is a manageable size set in a tight community, close to a large city, and exudes a positive, vibrant Christian atmosphere. I feel that Olivet has so much to offer me and I truly hope that I can contribute right back to the school in all I do.”
While at Olivet, Woods plans to major in Spanish with math or science. She is the daughter of Richard and Cindy Woods and has two brothers.
