Fourth place finish for Tigers at NCCAA Nationals; five earn All-American honors

MARION, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University women’s indoor track and field team came away with a fourth place finish at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Indoor Nationals which included five All-American performances. The two-day meet, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University, included 22 teams from across the country.
Senior Kortney Ellingboe (Hamilton, Ill.) finished just .08 of a second behind Shea Spicher of Shorter University (Ga.) in the 3000m run to capture second place, earn All-American honors and broke her own school record.
The distance medley relay team comprised of sophomores Kylie Lippencott (Crawfordsville, Ind.) and Natalie Puent (Eureka, Ill,), senior Hannah Endrizzi (Normal, Ill.) and junior Christy Trank (Winnebago, Ill.) crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 12:26.78, earning them each All-American recognition. Endrizzi also finished fourth in the 800m run with a time of 2:20.95, while sophomore Alexandra Ortiz (Ottawa, Ill.) placed fourth in the 400m dash, crossing the finish line at 59.28.
The Tigers will finish the indoor season next week when they travel to Geneva, Ohio for the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Spire Institute Feb. 28-March 2.
