Olivet finishes 10th at Chicagolands

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women’s track and field got back into action at the Chicagoland Championships hosted by Lewis University (Ill.). The two-day event finished up on Saturday, April 6 with the Tigers in 10th place of 21 teams representing the NAIA and NCAA DI and DII.
Olivet’s top finisher was sophomore Madison Moyer (Burlington, Iowa) who finished third in the 3000m steeplechase. Her 12:12.60 was a new personal best. Senior Kortney Ellingboe (Hamilton,Ill.) posted the lone Tiger NAIA qualifying time when she crossed the finish line in 17:44.12 in the 5000m run in fifth place. Sophomore Kamaria Goedhart (Rochester Hills, Mich.) claimed sixth place in the 200m dash with a time of 27.27.
Junior Rachel Carman (Keokuk, Iowa) and sophomore Anna Striker (St. Louis, Mo.) were the top field event finishers, both placing fourth. Carman finished in the long jump at 5.41m. Striker set a new personal best at 3.2m.
The Tigers return to action at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 when they travel to Lisle, Ill. for the Benedictine University Invite.
