MCHENRY, Ill. – Laura D’Angelo, a senior at McHenry West High School, has signed a letter of intent to continue her track career and education at Olivet Nazarene University.
D’Angelo placed 17th in the 400m at the IHSA 3A state meet and qualified as a freshman in the 4X400m relay. She posts a personal best in the 400m of 58.34. She was a two-sport athlete in high school, also playing basketball. She enjoys photography and is actively involved in her church and at school.
"Laura is a great fit, spiritually, academically and athletically," said head coach Mike McDowell. "She will be an asset to our program and our institution."
Graduating with a 4.3 GPA, she intends to major in youth ministry. She is the daughter of David and Margaret D’Angelo and has two older brothers.
