ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Olivet Nazarene University women’s track and field team kicked off their 2014 outdoor season at the Washington University (Mo.) Invite on Friday, March 28. The Tigers came away with two NAIA National qualifiers and a 14th place finish.

Sophomore Amy Blucker (Galesburg, Ill.) shattered her own school record with a 167’10” (51.15m) toss in the weight throw. The throw put her 5th in the NAIA and qualified her “A “standard for the NAIA National Championships.

Freshman Sarah Ray (Warsaw, Ind.) crossed the line at 37:15.18 to finish fourth in the 10,000m run and qualify “A” standard.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenville Select hosted by Greenville College.
