GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Olivet Nazarene University women’s
track and field team return home from NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Nationals
with two All-American relay performances and five individual. Sophomore Amy
Blucker (Galesburg, Ill.) added two more in the final two days to lead the
Top performances from days two and three of competition:
The 4x400m relay team of sophomore Takena Lawson, junior
Kamaria Goedhart, freshman Laura D’Angelo and sophomore Peyton Kirkland crossed
the finish line in 3:49.65 to finish sixth overall.
Senior Christy Trank, freshman Angelica Lafemina, junior Kyie
Lippencott and freshman Karley Brown placed eighth in the 4x800m relay with a
time of 9:41.28.
Blucker placed second in the shot put, posting a 15.10m
(49-06.50) and third in the discus throw with a 46.05m (151-07).
The Tigers finished with 12th overall with 23 points
out of the 51 scoring teams at the event. The National Championship was claimed
by Indiana Tech who finished with 102 points.
