BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University Head Track and Field Coach Mike McDowell is pleased to announce the addition of Nicole Farr to the coaching staff. Farr brings a multitude of coaching and competing experience to the Tiger staff. She comes to Olivet most recently from Xavier University, an NCAA Division I institution located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Farr was a four-year cross country and track athlete at Calvin College (Mich.) where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in sports management in 2010. She completed her eligibility with Bowling Green State University (Ohio) where she competed in indoor track in 2011 while working on her Masters of Education in Sports Administration. She graduated from BGSU in 2012.

In 2012, Farr became an Assistant Coach at Frostburg State University (Md.). She concentrated on distance runners, recruiting and academic monitoring. In 2013, Farr moved to Xavier University (Ohio) where she focused on sprints and distance, while being heavily involved in recruiting.

"I'm excited about Nicole joining our staff and the new ideas and perspectives she'll bring. Her success as a former distance and steeplechase athlete should transfer well into her role as a coach,” said McDowell.  “The relationships she has developed with coaches in the Chicagoland area over the years should enhance her recruiting efforts and make it easier to connect with prospective athletes."
