Through almost 50 years, the Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball program has committed to excellence, on-and-off the court.

The ONU Tigers are led by NAIA Hall of Fame head coach Ralph Hodge, who has 730 wins to his credit, making him the third-winningest active coach in NAIA Division II. The Tigers have won 12 CCAC regular season championships, six CCAC Tournament titles, made 17 NAIA National Championship appearances and qualified four times for the Elite Eight (NAIA Division I), including a NAIA Division I Final Four in 2000. In addition, Olivet has been represented well in the classroom with 27 Tigers named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes since 2000 and 27 CCAC All-Academic team members since 2009.

Olivet annually plays one of the toughest NAIA schedules in the country, which often includes trips to tournaments in Florida and California, and occasionally Hawaii. The Tigers have won 20 or more games in 26 seasons, including wins over nationally ranked opponents each season.

When they’re not on the road, the Tigers take the court in Olivet’s 2,500-seat McHie Arena, arguably one of the finest facilities in NAIA basketball. Over the last 15 seasons, the Tigers boast a .715-plus win percentage when playing at home.
