Brian Fish returned to his alma mater to build the Olivet Nazarene University football program into a winner once again. After one season, the new head coach is well on his way.
A former NAIA All-American tight end, Fish led the Tigers to a 5-6 record in his first season, including a three-game winning streak to close the season. Nine players were honored with all-conference awards, and four more were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In fact, in Fish’s first year as coach, the team’s cumulative grade-point average rose more than one-half point.
Tiger football happens at Ward Field — a 2,500-seat stadium on Olivet’s campus that is shared with the Chicago Bears for their summer training camp.
