Ozone encourages school-spirit and Tiger Pride through community involvement. It provides fun experiences for the fans, while showing athletes that their hard work is recognized and appreciated.
Participating students receive:
- Ozone t-shirts
- Discounts from local businesses
- Opportunities to compete in fun games for valuable gift certificates and prizes
- A chance at being named “Fan-of-the-Game” and “Fan-of-the-Year”
Ozone Fan of the Year
There will be a drawing at the end of the academic school year to choose the fan of the year.
- Every Ozone member begins the year with their name in the drawing.
- Each time an Ozone member participates in a contest at an Ozone sponsored game OR is selected as fan of the game, that person’s name is placed in the drawing again.
- There will also be a fan of the month selected at the end of each month. This fan will be randomly chosen from the pool of that month’s fans of the game. The fan of the month will win a prize and have another name added to the end of the year drawing.
- The more athletic events you attend, the greater your chances become to be named fan of the year for 2012-2013!
- Grand prize is a $250 gift card to Best Buy!
How to join Ozone
To participate, a student must purchase a Discount Card through the Office of Student Development. The student will then receive a card and a t-shirt, designating them as a member of Ozone. The card can be used to receive discounts at various establishments throughout Kankakee County.
Ozone Sponsors
Ozone is made possible through the generosity of community sponsors. In addition to contributing thousands of dollars in gift certificates and prizes, these sponsors offer discounts to all participants.
Ozone was created in the summer of 2010 by then Women’s Sports Information Director, Amanda Jensen. Jensen, a former Tiger softball stand-out, felt a burden to help improve school spirit. She wanted every student and faculty/staff member to love and appreciate Olivet and its outstanding athletic program as much as she did.
